Giuseppina "Pepi" Fabbiano is an American astrophysicist. She works as senior astrophysics in the High Energy Astrophysics Division, at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory. She has chaired the executive committee of the International Virtual Observatory Alliance. [1]

Life

She was born in Palermo, Italy. She earned the Ph.D. of physics from the University of Palermo in 1973.[1][2] She studies black holes,[3] cosmology and x-ray emission of galaxies.[4][2]

Early life

She was raised in a family of teachers and professors. In high school she won a math prize to visit France.[5]
