Heze Mudan Airport (IATA: HZA, ICAO: ZSHZ) is an airport serving the city of Heze in Shandong Province, China. It is located near Huangzhuang Village in Menghai Town (孟海镇), Dingtao District of Heze. The airport project received approval from the national government and the Central Military Commission in February 2017.[1]

The construction budget for the airport is CN¥1.8 billion, which is funded by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the Shandong Provincial Government.[1]

The airport opened on April 2, 2021.[2]

Facilities

The airport has a 2,600-metre (8,500 ft) runway (class 4C), a 10,000 square metres (110,000 sq ft) terminal building, and seven aircraft parking aprons. It is designed to serve 900,000 passengers and 6,500 tons of cargo annually by 2030.[1]
