Follow-up on draft article: Entanglement Chess

Hi Theroadislong, I have a question about what additional sources are required? The two links provided on the page, neither is to the original creator of the game - these are two different people who attempted digital formalizations of a chess variant that requires software to be playable. A third author, https://github.com/gdalle/SchroedingerChess also has attempted an implementation, but this was was not included because it was neither the first attempt I could find [Antumbra Station], nor the most functional [Shaun Wu, Entanglement Chess]. Chess variants are somewhat random as to whether they get written about - most are simply passed around through word of mouth, and tend to only get written up when one particular fan gets a burst of inspiration. For instance, I know that pitting a Baroque Chess army against a standard chess army is a game that people have routinely played at Harvard and Cambridge since the 1960s, but as far as I can tell has never been written about, while some variants that where invented as a joke on youtube have their own pages. I chose to write about this variant because, to me, it has one of the most novel rule variations I've seen, and so I took the time to try to distill it down into a readable article. I would really appreciate your help on getting it past the notability threshold. -- Saskiagourianova (talk) 22:02, 10 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If Entanglement Chess hasn't been talked about by independent reliable sources then it's probably not notable enough for an article here, sorry. Theroadislong (talk) 06:15, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I appreciate the direct answer. It's a shame since it is a fascinating game, but I understand why the rules are what they are. Saskiagourianova (talk) 06:21, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I don't agree with notability tags. The subject may take it personally. Deletion makes more sense, or leave it alone.

And what is the Wikipedia policy you are basing the dissagreement on? Whether the subject takes it persoanlly is irrelevant. Theroadislong (talk) 14:48, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification Regarding Conflict of Interest Tag

Hi. I hope you are doing well. I am so confused about the message you sent me about the conflict of interest. I wanna clarify that I have no personal, professional, or financial connections with the organization. If there are specific edits that seem promotional or biased, I am more than happy to revise or discuss them here. Thank you for your time and help! Clarification Regarding Conflict of Interest Tag

Hi, I am currently a NYU student and previously completed an embedded (unpaid) internship with UNCMS from 08/2024 to 04/2025, which ended alongside my spring semester. I do not currently have any ongoing affiliation or formal connection with the organization. I can show you my transcript to prove it if you need it. I created the draft for UNCMS Wikipedia page because I found the organization to be notable and thought it deserved a presence on Wikipedia, based on its activities and contribution to human rights and cultural diplomacy. If my prior internship raises any concerns, I’m happy to disclose that relationship clearly and follow any recommendations you have regarding neutrality or potential conflicts of interest. I’m also open to any suggestions for improving the draft. Thank you for your time and consideration. Rachel Zenggggg (talk) 15:12, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Having an unpaid internship with UNCMS from 08/2024 to 04/2025 means you clearly have a conflict of interest which you need to disclose with your next edit Theroadislong (talk) 15:16, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would mention this on your user page, yes. (User:Rachel Zenggggg) Just FYI an unpaid internship is still considered "paid editing" because the "payment" is the experience of the work. This is stated at WP:PAID(though not applicable to you currently). 331dot (talk) 15:17, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If you continue to remove the COI template you are likely to be blocked. Theroadislong (talk) 15:48, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
i am so sorry about that. i'll do the revision according to your suggestions tomorrow. Thank you again for your suggestions. Rachel Zenggggg (talk) 16:00, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Bill Smith, aka Bluebird Bill

Your petition for speedy deletion was found to be ineligible: "Previously PROD-deleted or speedily deleted articles are not eligible under this criterion, although they may be deletable under other criteria". By failing to remove the petition as you should, another editor routinely deleted the article voiding many hours of correctly sourced and researched material. You had already ill-advisedly interfered with another article HMHS Britannic by seeking to deny Bill Smith recognition of his work which dated back to 2003. Why wait some twenty years to contest the established history of an important event? You could have validated the sources as easily as I did. Your edit in the case of Britannic was completely insensitive and disrespectful as the article relates to a war grave, and your interventions ran counter to the reports of Carl Spencer, the lead diver, who lost his life in a later dive to the same wreck. Your editor contributions seem to concentrate on quantity of edits rather than aspiring to a high quality - "the 200th most edits in the world, you say you've made?" I hope you can help recover the article - or is that not what you see your position as a senior editor to do? Nigel PG Dale 16:19, 30 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nigel PG Dale, this tirade seems like overkill. This article was deleted as a result of an AFD discussion and the page title was later converted to a Redirect. CSD G4 doesn't apply to a Redirect but it does to the article you sought to create. If you want there to be an article about Bill Smith, you're going to have to start one in Draft space and work through AFC, not create one in main space. Liz Read! Request for Draft Review: (Hindu Goddess of Nepal)

Request for Review

Hello Theroadislong, and other experienced editors,

I am developing this article on Taleju Bhawani , a historically significant Hindu goddess in Nepalese culture, especially known as the royal deity of the Malla dynasty. Despite her cultural and religious importance, there is currently no English Wikipedia article about her as a goddess.

I have used reliable sources, including academic works like Nepal Mandala by Mary Slusser, and respected news outlets. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on whether this draft meets Wikipedia's notability, sourcing, and neutrality guidelines.

Thank you for your time and help!

WikiConDraft

Hey, I saw you rejected this after it was resubmitted (not by me - I was hoping to work with the previous reviewer, but they chose to resubmit again when I approached them about the review). Your review says that the article lacks "significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people)." I was hoping to get a bit more clarity on this - could you clarify what about the current sources is lacking (specifically ones like these: [1], [2], [3], [4])?

I'm basically just trying to get a better idea of what's missing here. Toa Nidhiki05 (Work) (talk) 13:40, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't think that the coverage amounted to passing WP:GNG feel free to re-submit I won't review again. Theroadislong (talk) 16:02, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
User:Toa Nidhiki05 (Work), I agree with the reviewer. I read the article, which is, well, fluffy IMO, with lots of sourcing that is barely secondary or sufficient--I mean, there's PR reviews and biographies. The two Milwauke JS articles are basically indicative of BLP1E, if that, and the NYT wedding thing...well that's society page material. I'm even less impressed with the bro article about the guy and his five friends and who men start pounding fewer beers with their other friends once they discover we're in the 21st century and they should do some of the dishes and laundry too (sorry, that article really rubs me the wrong way). A thinner version of the article might be more likely to pass with reviewers, but still, I don't see the sourcing as establishing encyclopedic notability. Sorry. Drmies (talk) 16:09, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate the comments, this is helpful. Generally speaking, when I work on articles I try to include more content rather than less, as more sources tend to establish notability.
I'm still a bit confused by the idea this is a WP:BLP1E situation - at least to me, it doesn't seem like he fails any of the three conditions, let alone all three (he's clearly not a low-profile individual, there is coverage in reliable sources of multiple other aspects of his life, and the event in question is well documented). I don't personally see how that applies, but it seems you don't believe there's enough coverage as a more broad critique. Is that an accurate assessment? Draft:International_carpet_festival

Dear @Theroadislong, thank you for reviewing the above-mentioned draft. I could now find three additional sources which I have added that have a more in-depth coverage of the festival. The general issue with Azerbaijani News is that they are rather local and on local news pages and rarely make it to international media. The question is how this would be treated by Wikipedia. Carpet weaving is deeply rooted in Azerbaijani culture and, as mentioned in the article, listed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. I am in no position to be able to judge if the second edition of such a festival is noteworthy and if it qualifies for a Wikipedia article. There is significant coverage in the national media and some neighboring countries, but I am not sure how this is treated as sources. Looking at the Lists of festivals and taking for example List of festivals in Morocco and then this festival Sefrou - it shows way fewer sources, and they are all local/ even in French. Just one example out of many. Either way, please let me know if there should be any other improvements done - there would be some foreign language sources as well, and if I should resubmit the current draft. Thank you very much. Guo Jiaxuan Notability

Dear Editor,

Thank you for reviewing the draft of Guo Jiaxuan. I would like to add some context and seek additional clarification as to how to get the article approved.

First, the event and the athlete should most certainly be considered notable. He was seen as a rising star in the Chinese football circles, and his death received widespread coverage. (See coverage from notable media outlets both in the Sino-sphere and globally from the South China Morning Post, Times of India, and The Straight Times.) News aggregator AFP picked up on his death as well [5]. The event was also covered by notable football journalists including Fabrizio Romano (see post). I think it is sufficient to say that his tragic death received enough media coverage to count as notable.

With regards to independent sources, I would like to offer a clarification. Yes, a number of sources cited were linked to the WeChat platform, which may be recognized as an informal source of information by people who have little understanding of the Chinese media context. If you pay closer attention, you would notice that many sources cited in the article are published by reputable news and media organizations. They just happen to be published on what appears to be social media platforms. Source 1, for example, was written by journalists from Sanlian Lifeweek. Source 3 and 5 were written by journalists from Southern Metropolis Daily. I can go on with the example but I will stop here.

I have reedit the article and included more international media coverage as stated above in point 1, but beyond that I do not see other edits being necessary. I would appreciate your feedback as to how to improve the article in order to have it approved. Thank you. DatunEast (talk) 16:50, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to re-submit if you have improved it, though I suggest you remove The Daily Mail and Times of India sources as they are not reliable. Theroadislong (talk) 16:55, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Will re-submit, but I want to understand why the article was rejected and have a serious conversation thereof. In what sense does the tragic passing of Guo Jiaxuan not meet the notability standard? There were numerous news articles dedicated to reporting his death both inside and outside China. If there are specific sources that are of problem or issue, could you point to how the determination was made? I cannot edit accordingly if I never get specific comments as to which sources are problematic, and why the article is not considered significant. DatunEast (talk) 17:12, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The "tragic passing of Guo Jiaxuan" is not notable in itself? See WP:DAILYMAIL and WP:TIMESOFINDIA for the reasons those sources are not reliable. Theroadislong (talk) 17:34, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Message to reviewers

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to review my draft on Alan Colonnetti. I wanted to highlight that the article now includes citations from multiple independent and reliable sources, such as *The Chronicle* (Zimbabwe’s national newspaper), an in-depth interview on the independent Bulawayo platform Asakhane Live, and coverage by the CBC Old Boys Association regarding his book release.

These sources provide significant coverage beyond passing mentions and establish Colonnetti’s notability as a multidisciplinary artist, music producer, and writer. I welcome any feedback or suggestions to improve the article further and am happy to provide additional references if needed.

Thank you again for your consideration! AlanColonnetti (talk) 22:27, 3 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Would appreciate your advice

Hi Theroadislong. You've given me some good advice in the past which I appreciate. Now I am a bit confused to hear from some reviewers that the article I was proposing draft: Jim Simon (writer) does not have enough secondary sources. The article is about someone who works in/contributes to American comics and its history, and I've seen many other articles about comic persons who got accepted with less sources so I am confused. Perhaps I should just delete the article and go on to something else. My interest is American comics and I would like to write articles about persons who work in comics but I am now feeling that only articles written by established Wikipedia comic "specialists" will get approved. Would appreciate your insight. Also, can I delete my article if I so choose? Thank you! HarvResearch (talk) 00:33, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Theroadislong,

I appreciate you reviewing my article, Draft:Lama Yeshe Jinpa. While it's hard to get a decline, your point is well taken. The thrust of it is that the piece focuses on more than his bio material - looking at the development of the temple and programs. If the bio were trimmed to strictly focus on the subject, obviously that would help this piece. It would be quite short, which is OK. Draft: Walter Coleman (painter)

Expanded article with additional secondary source coverage and clearer alignment to WP:NARTIST, including evidence of gallery exhibitions, a major retrospective, and distinctive style noted in a reliable obituary (The Baltimore Evening Sun, 1988). Wondering what it is admins are looking for

I see you have accepted a few articles as of late. Im kinda trying to pick some brains from some of the admins to understand what makes a more likely approval with an article.

Could you shed some insight on the things you look for? Im trying to polish up an article that keeps getting denied Gods Usher (talk) 22:58, 11 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I am not an admin. Draft:Dean Odle fails WP:NPOLITICIAN probably best to wait and see if they are elected governor before re-submitting. Being a "a known religious leader" is not inherently notable. Theroadislong (talk) 06:57, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Article on Preparatory School declined

Hi Theroadislong,

I am currently working on a draft on the Rosemead Preparatory School & Nursery, which you previously declined due to a lack of independent sources. However, from what I researched, there are very little reliable sources available online which support the facts given in the "History" page on the school's website and in documents from UK government, as it is a relatively small and lesser-known school. Is there any other way to solve this issue?

Thanks.

~~~ Pierre Bon-Bon (talk) 15:35, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No... Wikipedia articles are based on what reliable independent sources say about a topic if there is a lack of sources it is a very strong indication that the topic is not notable in Wikipedia terms, also see WP:NSCHOOL. Theroadislong (talk) 15:38, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your message. I believe that the topic is notable (no less than other schools nearby, such as Dulwich Prep & Senior and Oakfield Preparatory School) and there are some reliable sources which describe a recent incident at Rosemead Prep (e.g. on BBC News), which does not relate to the content of the current draft. Should I perhaps add a section concerning this incident if it is corroborated by reliable news outlets?
Thank you.
~~~ Pierre Bon-Bon (talk) 16:04, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have tagged Dulwich Prep & Senior and Oakfield Preparatory School for lack of notability. they should both be deleted, see other articles exist. The BBC source is excellent. Please don't include "no wiki" code with the four tildes when signing. Theroadislong (talk) 19:12, 12 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your feedback on the draft.
I’m concerned that the removal of the alumni section in the Dulwich Prep & Senior is not consistent with articles on other schools. For example, articles on schools such as St. Paul’s School contain alumni sections with limited sourcing thus, even though WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS isn’t sufficient justification, I still believe that this sourcing standard should be uniform across all articles. If other school articles are now being flagged or pruned as a result of this draft's submission, I worry this sets a precedent that may be unnecessarily exclusionary, particularly for smaller institutions that, by nature, may have more limited coverage in national press.
Given that Rosemead has at least a few high-quality sources (relating to the incident) and may have more that simply haven’t been found, I’d like to propose either publishing the article as a stub that can be improved over time or at the very least, merging part of the draft into the article on the better-known St. Dunstan’s College and linking the latter to the main article on Rosemead Prep. If I am not mistaken, according to the Wikipedia notability guidelines for schools (WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES), the existence of reliable, independent sources is important but deletion is not always the immediate solution if these are limited. In the absence of stronger sourcing, merging with a broader article, such as St. Dunstan’s College (to which Rosemead is affiliated), is a recommended alternative as per WP:MERGE and WP:PRESERVE. I’d welcome your thoughts on whether this could be a viable solution rather than rejecting the draft entirely.
In the meantime, I am happy to contact Rosemead and possibly other schools in the area directly to request access to any media coverage or publications that could help substantiate the schools’ notability.
Thank you for your help. Pierre Bon-Bon (talk) 12:39, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but having " limited coverage in national press" is a strong indication that we don't need an article, you are free to add content to the St Dunstan's College article if there are independent sources for it. Wikipedia is not a directory of schools. Theroadislong (talk) 12:45, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

God article

Hello. I hope you are doing well. The content you deleted was compiled from some of the best books available on God, the mind, and the universe, and I had worked on it for 16 hours. I conducted a longitudinal study. You didn’t even take a minute to read it. I’m sorry for you. You don’t value knowledge; what matters to you is a virtual character named User:Theroadislong. I enter every relationship with kindness and exit with kindness. It’s the most optimal approach possible. So, I respected your opinion and didn’t hit Undo; I shared my thoughts as well. I wish you happiness and awareness. I wish we had met somewhere else, because you are a human, and I love humanity. Every human is a world. For now. Thellane (talk) 15:59, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I did read it and it was totally inappropriate in tone for an encyclopaedia, if you want other opinions you can ask on the talk page here Talk:God. Theroadislong (talk) 16:06, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong:
Well, if you had tagged it with "tone":Maybe I could have improved it, perhaps I could have revised it. I’m willing to revise my efforts rather than throw them away! Common sense says this. You must have some magical property or be a robot to determine the inappropriateness of something without even reading it! “Giving others a chance: a pause given to someone to allow them to align themselves with the overall flow.” Thellane (talk) 16:20, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have added your proposed content to the article talk page Talk:God for other users to give opinions. Theroadislong (talk) 16:48, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong: I also made changes to the text on the same page and altered its tone. Please review it again and share your thoughts with me. Thank you. Thellane (talk) 13:11, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mystery Higway article

Hi Theroadislong, It was advised to me to contact you directly based on my rejected article. I feel I'm so close to solving the sourcing errors. That has been the only problem on this article. Each quote has been referenced, so I'm at a loss as to which one(s) are incorrect. I think we are really close at this point, and I'd appreciate it a great deal if you could tell me specifically which one is incorrect. I sincerely apologize for not asking these questions up front. I did not know this Help Desk was available until recently. I have spent countless hours studying the help links provided, when I should have come here instead of submitting over and over. My latest update is that I have significantly reduced the Production section, and simplified the narrative. I feel this section was the primary issue with sourcing. If you advise it, I will remove the Production section entirely. Every other section is factual and fully sourced. ClarkeMSmith (talk) 18:07, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You were told to appeal to the rejecting reviewer directly, I was not the reviewer who rejected Draft:Mystery Highway though I do agree with User:CoconutOctopus. Theroadislong (talk) 18:19, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @ClarkeMSmith:, I rejected the draft as it was repeatedly resubmitted without you ever providing reliable sources that show notability, despite multiple requests to do so. If you are able to add these sources I may then consider removing the rejection, but until then I will not be removing it so as not to waste AfC reviewer time. Best, CoconutOctopus talk 18:34, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the quick reply. Are the 3 movie reviews which have quotes and citations not reliable? Can you please let me know if those 3 are the issue, or some other citation(s), perhaps in the Awards and Nominations section? You mentioned "adding these sources" but I really don't know which specific ones need to be added that aren't already. If the issue is all in a single section (Production, Release, Reception, etc.) I will gladly remove the section entirely (unless I learn how to remedy it). Thanks! Jean "John" G. Rosanvallon article

Hi Theroadislong,

Thanks for your comment.
Comment: This reads like a CV.

Any pointers on how to edit? Overall tone? Less bullets? Thanks!! Wiseballe (talk) 20:25, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles should be written in prose not bullet points and should cover what relaible independent sources have reported. Theroadislong (talk) 20:28, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understood - Will edit and revert. Thank you! Wiseballe (talk) 20:36, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Undid revision

Hi TRIL, I just undid the revision on the MAD article. Happy to chat further in the article's talkspace before labelling. Cheers CommandAShepard (talk) 07:55, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You bypassed the WP:AFC process, I correctly tagged the article for promotion and notability, you removed these so the next step was to take it to WP:AFD for community discussion. Theroadislong (talk) 08:51, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Theroadislong! In the first instance, I created a talkspace heading for discussion of the tags that had been placed. Seeing the article tag, without a prior talkspace discussion or much explanation, seemed like it was an instance of "drive-by tagging". My intention in reverting that tag placement was to have a community discussion about it in the first instance. I hope that this clarifies things, but of course always happy to chat :) Cheers CommandAShepard (talk) 09:13, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 10:25:23, 15 June 2025 for assistance on AfC submission by Rach.evans

Hello, I've been working on the page of Vietnamese contemporary artist Phạm Minh Hiếu, for which you declined my review request.

It is true that his work has not been acquired by prestigious museums around the world, for he's still a young artist. However, in the Vietnamese contemporary art scene, he has gained popularity among art insiders. He has exhibited at two of the most famous galleries & private museums (Galerie Quynh, The Outpost), appeared on reliable top-tier mass media outlets (Nhân Dân, Thanh Niên, etc), joined lots of activities organized by both the government and famous independent art organizations in Vietnam, and was also featured in the very first publication of Tatler magazine in Vietnam. He is also featured in Hanoi Grapevine's Finest compilation, which is known as the most complete archive of art activities in Vietnam.

So yes, I think he's still qualified for a Wikipedia article. Can you please help me re-review this article?

Thank you so much in advance.

Rach.evans (talk) 10:25, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Luis Alfaro

Dear, Your message call my attention: "zero improvement in sources?"

Could you please double check, to be honest plenty of references were added, they are reliable or independent, secondary sources. And also, if you can specifically mark which areas you need to me improve, so that I can continue working. It is hard to be rolling and rolling out without specific areas. By the way "zero improvement in sources" means?

Thank you! Sciencesustainability409 (talk) 08:56, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Draft: LoadGen

Hey @Theroadislong,

Really appreciate you taking the time to look over the LoadGen draft. I saw your note about AI-generated content and wanted to clarify where I’m coming from. I did use AI tools here and there to help keep the structure clear and the tone balanced. But all the actual research, fact-checking, and writing came from me. I pulled the info from reliable, independent sources and double-checked everything because I wanted it to be solid and helpful.

Honestly, I care about this topic. VDI load testing is pretty specific, and even though LoadGen’s been in the space for close to twenty years, it didn’t even have a Wikipedia page. That’s why I wanted to contribute something real and accurate.

If anything in the draft feels off or sounds too polished in a way that doesn't match Wikipedia’s tone, I’d really be grateful for your feedback. I’m here to learn and make it better.

Thanks again for the input — I take it seriously and it means a lot. Moh216 (talk) 12:40, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo Therodislong,

you kindly reviewed my first submission of the Chesil Gallery, unfortunately it was rejected. I have cleaned up the page. I have made it more objective and neutral. I have taken out the references to Margaret Somerville's personal life, and some description of the building. I have tried to add more relevant links. Most notably the link to the Dorset Council Archives, of which a series of interviews were taken interviewing Margaret Somerville about the Gallery and the Artists.

As the gallery existed pretty much pre-internet and was small but very important for the area, it is very very difficult to find good links. Such as references to all the exhbitions. I hope that in creating this page I can encourage other people who may be still alive to contribute to the page. I know that there are many interesting catalogues, publications that could be uploaded once I have managed to get in touch with some relevant people.

Please let me know what your thoughts are to help improve this page. Even though it a small gallery, I think it deserves a page. It existed in a very particular are of Dorset where there was not much of a cultural focus.

Many thanks and best wishes

Kate KateBowden (talk) 13:49, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft User:KateBowden/sandbox is extremely poorly sourced, we base articles on what reliable, independent, published sources say about a topic, the sources do not have to be online but they do have to report on the topic with significant coverage. It seems unkikely from my searches that these sources exist. Catalogues wouldn't help as they are primary sources. Theroadislong (talk) 15:58, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

US Table Tennis Hall of Fame feedback

Advertising? We are a non-profit organization sharing the life stories of best in the sport of table tennis. It is exactly what wikikpedia is all about. Is the ITTF Hall of Fame (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITTF_Hall_of_Fame) advertising also? What about USATT (USA Table Tennis - Wikipedia) 67.171.179.111 (talk) 19:19, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft Draft:US Table Tennis Hall of Fame includes unsourced promotional sections include “Mission and Purpose”, “Induction Process”, “Organization” and “Notable Inductees”. See other stuff exists too. Theroadislong (talk) 19:29, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So does it make the entry better to remove the mission and purpose, induction process, and notable Inductees which mirrors the format of the ITTF Hall of Fame? 67.171.179.111 (talk) 19:34, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It would improve the draft marginally but would not make it any more notable. You need to find multiple, reliable independent sources which discuss the organisation in-depth. Theroadislong (talk) 19:38, 16 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Palumbo's biographical page

Hi, with reference to Michael Palumbo's biographical page, which would not meet the wikipedia parameter of interest, I would like to add, if not understood, the following topics:

  • as per the NYT article, Palumbo is the historian who in 1980 revealed to the world the existence of the files believed to be missing from the UNWCC and the one who first discovered a file therein including then UN Secretary Waldheim as belonging to the Nazi army. Only since 1987 were these documents partially available to the public, and in recent years several essays have confirmed their historical importance.
  • in 1989 the BBC documentary Fascist Legacy, based on his research, was called the thing that ended the legend of the “Italians good people,” purchased by the Italian national network never to be broadcast
  • of the book also based on his research, “The Holocaust Removed- L'olocausto rimosso,” printed in 1992 in Italy and censored (sent to pulp), only recently was a copy found that allowed it to be republished causing some public debate
  • of his books on the Israeli-Palestinian issue, there are, however, references on other authors' wikipedia pages, a sign of knowledge and well-defined original positions
