This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to North Carolina. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|North Carolina|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to North Carolina. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to US.

There is no evidence of notability. In my WP:BEFORE search, I couldn't find any significant coverage in reliable sources. Many of the sources are press releases, profile listings, social media posts and unreliable blogs. Doesn't meet WP:NMUSIC.

- This band while not achieving large mainstream success was very active for over 16 years with multiple albums, EP's, and singles. Also, this band participated in numerous large music festivals allover the United States that toured in support of various different mainstream acts. To delete such articles, especially of a group who was active for nearly two decades would be a great disservice. After all, is Wikipedia not an open-sourced community open for individuals to share their knowledge of something that others are not familiar with? I mean no disrespect to the individual who nominated this article for deletion, but I spent well over a week researching this artist to verify all these facts and sources to confirm all the information is factual. The lack of sources from major outlets is due to the fact the band has been inactive for nearly a decade and many sources are long gone and were not saved to the internet archive. But as stated I spent over a week combing through old videos and interviews from the band directly to confirm all the details were true and correct without positive or negative bias. I'm just a fan of music with a goal of preserving the history of artists and bands who left their mark on the industry, and though A Course of Action didn't make a historic mark like The Beatles or Michael Jackson, nearly two decades of activity and releases would be a tragedy to just forget about and label as non-noteworthy. - Wikipedia has a different definition of notability for an article to be accepted - it largely falls on whether multiple reliable, independent, and significant sources exist or not. There doesn't seem to be any that discuss the band or its singles and albums significantly, and none of the sources in the articles contribute to notability:

Delete: I really don't want to delete the page took so much work to assemble, while most of the pages marked for deletion barely have anything. BUT as pointed out there is only one good source AllMusic. There are a couple of interviews but they don't contribute to notability, because they are generated by the subject of an interview. The article can be transferred to https://rock.fandom.com or something similar. LastJabberwocky (talk) 06:24, 24 April 2025 (UTC)
- 2025 Apex municipal election (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View AfD | edits since nomination)
- (Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL)
Article about a smalltown municipal election, not properly sourced as a notable event. As always, Wikipedia does not indiscriminately maintain an article about every single municipal council election that happens -- we can keep articles about mayoral and city council elections in major cities whose elections can be reliably sourced as notable events, but do not routinely keep an article about every single municipal election that happens in every town or city across the board.
But the referencing here consists entirely of directly affiliated primary sources -- the town council website, the self-published websites of council candidates and the self-published Substack newsletter of an incumbent town councillor in one of the seats that isn't up for reelection this year -- which are not support for notability, and absolutely no evidence of WP:GNG-building coverage in reliable sources has been shown at all. - Delete. I generally am in favor of more electoral coverage on here and the definition of "routine" sources, but this does not have enough sources. Most sources are from an independent journalist, not a bad thing, but more from media outlets is needed. Can't find anything non-primary with a google search either. as well as being an elder he served for a time as a LDS bishop and we usually keep articles about bishops of major religions. The article includes references/ notes to reliable newspaper coverage, imv Atlantic306 (talk) 20:23, 11 April 2025 (UTC)- Comment Note that LDS bishops are not the same level of hierarchy in most other christian denominations like catholicism. They are more analogous to priests. I am neutral about this page otherwise.
