Wikipedia has a tendency to deteriorate over time without constant monitoring. Since I've tried the "check everything on my watchlist" method already, I've found that it's either impossible or way too time consuming to do this for any extended period of time. Monthly checkup will be the place where I keep the oldids of certain FA/GA-quality pages that I know are free of vandalism. That way, I can do a "diff" between that version and the current version to cull the good edits from the bad. Once a month should be enough for that Every few months? I'm really lazy, if you couldn't tell. Obviously, as the subject matter gets older, the amount of new, useful stuff added to the article decreases with time.
