The master of the cupbearers[1] or master of the cup-bearers[2] (German: Königliche Oberst-Grossmundschenke,[3] Hungarian: főpohárnok,[3] Slovak: pohárnik and Latin: pincernarum regalium magistri or magister pincernarum)[3][2] was one of the high officials of the royal household in the Kingdom of Hungary.[2] Masters of the cupbearers were included among the "true barons"[4] of the realm from around 1220.[2]
