    Description
    English: Snowboarder leaning inwards in a curve in deep powder at high speed to counter the centrifugal force. Interesting is the small snow "pile" above the (in the image) left boot tip of the snowboarder. This is a vortex of powder snow which results from the snow gliding over the front portion of the snowboard, and which is apparently set into motion by the inclined plastic flank of the snowboard hardboot, resulting in this "micro tornado".
    The picture was taken in the ski area of Axamer Lizum close to Innsbruck, Austria, with an analog Canon EOS 100 SLR camera with Canon zoom lens 35-70 mm on wide angle with manual, pre-adjusted focus and fast serial motor drive (3 pics/s), using a remote control activated by the snowboarder, and was later scanned.
    Deutsch: Ein Snowboarder lehnt sich beim schnellen Fahren einer Kurve im Tiefschnee stark zum Kurveninnenrand, um die Fliehkraft auszugleichen. Das Bild wurde im Skigebiet Axamer Lizum nahe Innsbruck gemacht, mit einer analogen Canon EOS 100 SLR camera mit einem Canon EF 35-70 mm Objektiv, das auf manuellen Fokus und Weitwinkel voreingestellt war, durch Auslösen einer Bildserie (3 Bilder/s) mittels einer Infrarot-Fernbedienung durch den Snowboarder. Der Papierabzug wurde danach eingescannt.
