AODocs was established in the US in 2012 by French entrepreneur Stephan Donze. It aimed to tap into the potential of consumer-grade cloud technology to build a platform that combines ease of use with security and compliance. The company positioned itself as an alternative to traditional DMS providers like IBM FileNet, Documentum, and Microsoft SharePoint.^[2] It is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and has offices in Paris, Milan and Budapest.
