This constituency was known as UDAYAGIRI-MOHANA in 1951 & G UDAIGIRI in 1957 & 1961, UDAYAGIRI from 1967 to 2004 & G. Udayagiri since 2009.

Counting of votes was on 4 June 2024.[10] In 2024 election, Indian National Congress candidate Prafulla Chandra Pradhan defeated Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Managobinda Pradhan by a margin of 7,857 votes.[6]
