Q: What is Authorpædia?
A: Authorpædia a.k.a. the Authors’ Encyclopedia, the world’s only encyclopedia dedicated to authors. It is an online publication and also has yearly printed volumes. The encyclopedia is run by Authorpaedia Foundation, Inc., which, for this questionnaire, shall be referred to as Authorpædia.
Q: Who can register on Authorpædia?
A: Any author/writer who has published at least one book, traditionally or independently, could register and create a page in Authorpædia. Also, any author who published a story in a printed anthology is eligible for Authorpædia.
Q: Who can edit or update my account?
A: Authorpædia keeps all accounts exclusively private. Once we approve the page and it has been published, only you, as the registered author, may edit your page. However, Authorpædia reserves its right to enter and correct your data and/or remove/reject it if your data does not correspond to the Code of Ethics required by Authorpædia and may do so with or without a written notice to you as the owner of the page.
Every time you re-enter your page and make any adjustments, Authorpædia will treat it as a new submission and place it in “Pending,” thus awaiting approval. After we thoroughly revise your page, the new content will be published or rejected.
Q: What is the cost of joining Authorpædia?
A: Unless there are FREE promotions and incentives during specific dates, joining Authorpædia will cost you a one-time set-up entry fee of USD *$89.99. (This price may change without further notice.)
Q: Can I create external links from my page in Authorpædia?
A: The back-end interface allows you to create hyperlinks for external connections.
Q: I want to hire Authorpædia to create a professional page. How much will it cost me, and how long will it take to publish my page?
A: You will pay a non-refundable one-time flat fee of $1,399.99. Your page will go live in 72 hours at the most.
Q: Can I promote myself and/or my books within Authorpædia?
A: Yes. Through ÆTV, you will be invited to promote yourself and your book/s at our author shows throughout the United States, Canada, and in the country where you reside, where you could appear before a LIVE audience or be interviewed in a cozy studio environment, or even via Skype. ÆTV streams LIVE events and records every show for later broadcasting.
You may also post your books on your page, with links to Amazon.com, or contact us with further requirements or suggestions. Authorpædia offers its trademarks, so you may freely use its “Æ” social media icons of your option.
Q: Could my books be purchased through Authorpædia?
A: Of course. When you create your page, you can add your title/s as links or pictures. Those may be connected to Amazon.com.
Q: How do I get included in the ten-volume yearly Printed publication? How much does being part of a ten-volume printed edition anthology cost me?
A: Each year, Authorpædia, will offer authors the option to be part of AUTHORPÆDIA’s leather-bound luxury printed edition. The cost is *$779.99 per author, entry, and edition.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: In the United States, yes, it is. You should check with your country’s fiscal bureau or revenue service to see if the same rule, as in the United States, applies.
Q: Could I register someone else’s name and create his or her profile?
A: You may do so only if that person is an underaged child, and/or if that person is under your legal representation.
Q: As an author, am I allowed to directly publish my page?
A: No. You may submit your page for publication. Your page is treated as a new submission. Please refer to Paragraph 3 of this FAQ.
