Summary

Description The Brotherhood Synagogue at 28 Gramercy Park (South) was designed in 1859 by King & Kellum as a Quaker meetinghouse, and was for a time a stop on the "Underground Railroad" for slaves escaping from the South. The building was remodeled as a synagogue in 1975 by James Stewart Polshek.
