• An RfC is open to determine whether the English Wikipedia community should adopt a position on AI development by the WMF and its affiliates.

Technical news

• A new feature called Multiblocks will be deployed on English Wikipedia on the week of June 2. See the relevant announcement on the administrators' noticeboard.
• History merges performed using the mergehistory special page are now logged at both the source and destination, rather than just the source as previously, after this RFC and the resolution of T118132.

Arbitration

• An arbitration case named Indian military history has been opened. Evidence submissions for this case close on 8 June.

• Voting for the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) election is open until 17 June 2025. Read the voting page on Meta-Wiki and cast your vote here!
• An Articles for Creation backlog drive is happening in June 2025, with over 1,600 drafts awaiting review from the past two months. Hi, Aramazd Sargsyan! Welcome to Wikipedia! If you're writing an article, you shouldn't be writing about yourself, your friends, family, employer etc. as it can cause a conflict of interest. Start your page in Draft namespace. Be sure to reference your statements! After you finish writing it, submit it for review & an experienced editor will review it and accept or decline it with comments. If it's accepted, you can move it to article space & Voila! Hi Ophyrius. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

• Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
• Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
• Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.

I can't see how this edit added any incorrect information. I don't think my changes to the first section removed any necessary information. I removed the is the name of from Asena, is the name of a she-wolf associated with a Göktürk ethnogenic myth. as redundant because it didn't actually add any information that wasn't already obvious (the name of the article is the name of the wolf).
