Khaleej (Urdu: خلیج, lit.'Bay') is a 1986 Pakistani television series written by Imran Aslam, produced and directed by Sahira Kazmi.[2][3] It was the debut serial of Sajid Hasan.[4]

Khaleej stood out for its bold creative choices, including its soundtrack. The series featured Tina Sani's rendition of Faiz Ahmed Faiz's ghazal "Gar mujhe is ka yakeen ho...", a daring move by Kazmi given Faiz's official ban from radio and television during Zia-ul-Haq's regime.[5]

Synopsis

The story revolves around Zonia and Ayaz. Zonia comes from a rich family and Ayaz is from a poor family later she marries Ayaz but faces difficults in their relationship.[6]
