Fatal Influence is a villainous professional wrestling stable that performs in WWE appearing on its NXT brand and also appears in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). The group consists of Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. As a stable, Jayne is the current NXT Women's Champion in her first reign, and Henley is a former one-time NXT Women's North American Champion.

Background

On the March 19, 2024, episode of NXT, Jayne (with Nyx) turned on Chase University and cost Riley Osborne the NXT Heritage Cup Championship match against No Quarter Catch Crew's Drew Gulak, turning both women heel in the process.[1] On April 30, at Night 2 of Spring Breakin', On the Spring Break episode of NXT, longtime Babyface Fallon Henley, turned heel by attacking Thea Hail after her match against Jacy Jayne whom she stared at and as the weeks continued Jazmyn Nyx (Jacy's associate) tried to recruit Henley who was more focused on winning the NXT Women's North American Championship, at Battleground where she lost to Kelani Jordan, afterwards instead of giving Fallon the first title shot due to their past friendship, chose to give it to Sol Ruca, much to Henley's chagrin, a returning Jacy Jayne would later play in to Henley's frustrations of others stealing opportunities she feels belong to her.[2][3]

History

On the July 9 episode of NXT, Jayne and Nyx formed an alliance with Henley, who took issue with wrestlers with no independent backgrounds getting more opportunities in NXT[4] (Nyx was given an exception by Jayne and Henley despite having never competed in the independent circuit herself)[5] and then began calling themselves Fatal Influence the following month.[6] The trio teamed up for the first time at Week 1 of NXT: The Great American Bash on July 30, where they defeated Karmen Petrovic, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca in a 6-woman tag team match.[7] Beginning in September, Fatal Influence set their sights on the NXT Women's North American Championship held by Kelani Jordan. At NXT Halloween Havoc on October 27, Jordan faced Fatal Influence in a gauntlet match for the NXT Women's North American Championship. Henley defeated Jordan to win the title as the third person in the gauntlet after interference from Jayne and Nyx, winning her first singles championship in her wrestling career.[8] Fatal Influence would soon after begin feuding with Tatum Paxley, Shotzi, and Jayne's former tag team partner and friend Gigi Dolin, with the two teams facing each other at NXT: New Year's Evil in a six-woman tag team match with Fatal Influence coming out on the losing end.[9]

Over the next few months, there were signs of dissension within Fatal Influence, particularly between Jayne and Henley. On the May 27 episode of NXT, Jayne defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the NXT Women's Championship.[10]
