John Williams (born January 17, 2002) is an American football guard for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Early life and high school
Williams attended Bolingbrook High School in Bolingbrook, Illinois. He was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Cincinnati Bearcats.[1]
College career
As a freshman in 2020, Williams appeared in just four games for the Bearcats.[2] In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, he played primarily as a right tackle,[3] appearing in 24 games with three starts.[4] Heading into the 2023 season, Williams took over as the Bearcats starting left tackle.[5] After the 2024 season, he declared for the 2025 NFL draft and accepted an invite to the 2025 NFL scouting combine.[6] Williams also accepted an invite to participate in the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl.[7]
Professional career
On April 26, 2025, Williams was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 250th overall pick in the 7th round of the 2025 NFL draft.[8]
